Opposition to the cancellation of the school bus

Oxfordshire County Council have recently put forward a decision to cancel the school bus service for children from Arncott to Ambrosden. The parish council objects to this and has given its support to the parents fighting this decision. We have also written a letter giving our viewpoint on the woefully inadequate review of the route between Arncott and Ambrosden that people would be forced to walk. The review didn't take into consideration ANY part of the route that exists within Upper or Lower Arncott; rather the review started at the end point of the village from Lower Arncott exiting towards Ambrosden. While that part of the route has its own dangers, we also felt that the route was treacherous within the village itself and should form part of the decision process which is why we wrote this letter.
